Tyson Fury’s trilogy clash with Deontay Wilder has been rescheduled for October 9th.
The WBC champion gypsy king had to cancel next saturday’s original bout after catching Covid-19. But the 6ft 9in ace has promised to give the 35-year old American an even bigger battering than his February 2020 masterclass.
Fury, 32, said “I wanted nothing more than to smash the big dosser on July 24 but I guess the beating will have to wait. Make no mistake, I will be back and better than ever. We will fight on October 9 and I will knock him spark out!”.
Promoter Frank Warren said “I’m glad we could agree a new date so quickly for Tyson to defend his title. I’ve never been more certain that Tyson is going to deliver a spectacular performance and remain the No. 1 heavyweight on the planet”.
